Velolib Twisto: Self-service electric bikes land in Caen

This Wednesday, January 31st, Caen-la-Mer officially launched the Vélolib Twisto, a self-service bike that can be equipped with electric assistance thanks to an optional removable battery.

Following Véol's offer, which ended on December 31, 2017, Vélolib offers 170 electric bikes at 17 stations across the city, half of which are in the city center and the rest in outlying areas.

While casual users will be able to book a bike with their bank card right in the terminal, ordinary users will have a choice between several subscription packages with an annual package ranging from € 20 to € 30. When using the first half hour will be free, then each hour will cost from 1 to 2 euros, depending on the subscription.

Good to know : those wishing to use electricity services will need to contact the mobility agency in Place Gard to rent a battery (amount not specified).
