After starting the Spring и sprint, Vespa presents a new GTS, the largest and most influential in the family.

It is distinguished by style and prestige, like the little sisters on the other hand, and very comfortable. He is an excellent driver and proves to be an excellent companion in all situations: from the city to tourism for short and medium distances.

Let's start with aesthetics. IN design it is the classic one that has always distinguished the brand's products Vespa,  GTS characterized by soft and generous lines. The body is strictly made of steel. New drawstring on the front shield.

The saddle compartment has been completely redesigned and now offers more space than in the past (it can accommodate two or more Vespa demi-jet helmets). But one of the most interesting news concerns Vespa multimedia platform, a new multimedia platform that allows connect Vespa GTS to iPhone (soon it will be available for smartphones on Android), from which it will be possible to view a large amount of information: from driving parameters (average speed, angle of inclination in corners, maximum speed, etc.), to the last position of the car before switching off, as well as data trips, maps and even tire pressure.

In terms of safety, as expected, another gem of the new GTS stands out: the new traction control system which prevents the rear wheel from slipping.

Complete the painting on new ABSwhich prevents the wheels from locking, making braking effective even on low-friction surfaces. Two instead of me engines: 300cc gives 22 hp and 22,3 Nm of torque and 125cc gives 15 hp and 12 Nm of torque, both single-cylinder 4-stroke 4-valve with electronic injection.

Vespa GTS 300 Super, prova su strada

This is the most powerful version of the Vespa line. But if you think that this is a sporting vocation and therefore not very comfortable, you are wrong. Against. We can say that Vespa GTS makes comfort one of its strengths.

We had the opportunity to try it out on the streets that are from the Mask Barberino di Mugello lead to Scarperia along the initial part of the famous Passo della Futa. In short, there is no better way to test the latest brand addition.

We talked about comfort ...The driving position is excellent: there is enough legroom (and for any luggage), the saddle is a “sofa”, and you can ride with a straight body. You do not get tired even after so many kilometers.

We thought that by swinging us between one curve and another, engine 300cc. He has a good drive and above all he boastsvery linear delivery... Never vomits and consumes little.

Also good stability and feel when cornering, even if you need to get a little carried away before you can handle the car with ease.

Pendants they are also very much appreciated in the city and on the cobblestones... And where the road surface is not the best, you can rely on traction control, an absolute novelty for the scooter, which, fortunately, did not enter service in our test drive (except for the mud, but was questioned).

Braking The manufacturer deliberately explains that this is not one that would drive the braking fanatics mad because it is not aggressive. But in the end it turns out to be effective: you just need to know that you have to push the two levers hard, and then there is an ABS that prevents the wheels from locking ...
