Revival of tomes

The revival is the result of market research and the vision of an astute Tomos management team who boldly predict that the Koper plant will become Europe's leading small-capacity motorcycle manufacturer in ten years. Typically not Slovenian and very European. globally. Revival is the successor of the Automatikov family, the legendary Tomos two-wheeled buzzers.

I also spoke to him in the early eighties. Feelings when I wriggle on it, so homely, lively, hey, young! I pretend to be 15 again. It itches again that, as before, he re-grinds the rubber on his foot pedals to accommodate the exhaust, or to "tinker with the car."

Electric start

Dude, this Rebirth includes a button! But damn it, it won't light up. Drrrr, spin, drrrrr. Nothing. He's also deaf to the kickstarter. Alarm, boys. What happened? Have you checked if the lights are on? Doesn't work without it. Security, boy, security. Oh, I forgot. My fault. Contact, pressing the rear brake lever, ignition. Brmmmm. Juhuhu, it is going smoothly.

The familiar, slightly muffled voice of the 49cc two-stroke engine materializes memories of youth. Rebirth, rebirth, repetition, rebirth. Higher than the Automatic, I sit in the richly padded seat and the small ones can be felt on the floor. The seat is majestically wide. I feel the same way when I see the web of indicator lamps in the chrome lower perimeter of the armature.

The speedometer works quite like a marine. Hesitant. I also think a front disc brake is gentlemanly. And carefully, carefully. He wants a very gentle handshake, and if I squeeze her too hard, he "protests." I love the relaxed bike pose that looks like a custom bike. The front part bothers me and is too close, because after two days I rubbed some of the varnish from the front part with my shoes.

Hi, where is the fuel cap? Where he was in Automatik, now there is only his chrome imitation, and at the bottom left under it there is a contact lock. Look under the elevator seat, master! A container of oil was also hidden there. Motorchek now has an oil pump that mixes oil with gasoline according to modern rules. No more magic in the garage or begging at the pump.

House in an urban environment

The Revival is nimble in handling, and in the city it is a real pleasure to jump with it to the store, to work or just to drink coffee. Then a small suitcase behind the seat and a box for small items under it help. Fuel? You see, I forgot about him, as I almost forgot the last time I was at the gas station. Do you believe I screamed when the 95 octane food in no way wanted to run out. Honorary Pioneer! Consumption is extremely modest, so acceleration is definitely not easy.

The bus behind me on Tselovshka got on my nerves. David vs. Goliath. Uncle driving, be careful please. I survived starting from a city next to a lawn, but at a top speed of about fifty kilometers an hour, I was a moving obstacle for nervous drivers on a two-lane road. In the end, the victory was mine, since they got into the column in Shentweed. And I, affectionately and sweetly laughing, walk past them.

People always want something new, but we are afraid of change. Is it any wonder that mostly well-groomed middle-aged gentlemen and fewer mules with curly hair and wide trousers stayed before Renaissance? Wrong world? Even with Revival, you will not experience rebirth and a return to youth. I him. That means something too, doesn't it!
