Many countries are planning to completely abandon cars with internal combustion engines over the next 15-25 years: India, China, USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain. The French, for example, have promised that by 2040 there will be no petrol or diesel car left in their country. The governments of these countries are in every way promoting the idea of switching to electric cars, banks offer more profitable lending programs, covering part of the cost of an electric car.
How are things going with electric cars in Russia? At the beginning of 2018, about 1,1 thousand electric cars drove on our roads. The products of the following automakers are officially presented:
- Tesla?
- Nissan;
- Mitsubishi;
- Smart ForTwo (Mercedes-Benz)
- BMW.
Agree that for a country like the Russian Federation, this is a drop in the ocean, nevertheless, positive trends can be traced: in 2017, 45 percent more electric cars were sold than in 2016. Moreover, state programs are being developed to stimulate electric transport. The government promises that by 2030 at least half of all transport in the Russian Federation will be electric.
Tesla
The most famous automotive company associated with the name of Elon Musk, which deals exclusively with electric vehicles. The company does not work according to the usual scheme, when the buyer enters the salon, chooses a car and leaves on it. Only samples are presented in the Tesla showroom, and custom-made cars are delivered from factories in the USA or Europe. By the way, the company is engaged not only in the production and sale of cars, but also in the installation of SuperCharger charging stations. The first such station appeared near Moscow in 2016, while in the USA you can safely drive an electric car from the east to the west coast.
In Moscow, in the official Tesla Club, both new and used models are available on order:
- Tesla Model X - price from seven to 16 million rubles;
- Tesla Model S - from seven to 15 million.
These are the prices for new cars. Electric cars with mileage are cheaper. It is worth noting that the Tesla Model S is a Premium-class car belonging to the S-segment. The length of the body is almost five meters. Body type - liftback (we already wrote about body types earlier on Vodi.su).
Striking characteristics (modification P100D):
- maximum speed reaches 250 km / h;
- acceleration to 100 km / h in 2,5 seconds;
- engine power - 770 hp;
- rear or all wheel drive.
The battery charge is enough for about 600-700 km, depending on the speed and manner of movement. There are modifications with more modest characteristics. So, the most affordable Model S 60D costs from seven million rubles.
Moscow Tesla Club, being officially a representative office of an American company, promotes the idea of electric cars in Russia. Here you can buy electric cars on order from other automakers. So fans of sports cars will probably like the first electric sports car Rimac Concept One for 108 million rubles.
It is assembled in Croatia, and the technical characteristics are worthy of respect:
- 355 km / h;
- engine power 1224 hp;
- power reserve 350 km / h.
It is clear that such cars are intended for more affluent customers.
BMW
The German automaker officially offers two models of electric cars in the Russian Federation:
- BMW i3;
- bmw i8.
The first is a compact B-class hatchback. The motor is capable of developing a power of 170 hp, front-wheel drive. The car comes in two trim levels - fully electric or in a hybrid version with a 0,65-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 34 hp. Produced since 2013.
BMW i8 - Premium roadster at a price of ten million rubles. Available on order only. Both electric cars and hybrids are produced. Two electric motors with a capacity of 104 and 65 kW are installed here. There is a petrol version with a 362 liter engine producing XNUMX hp.
Smart fortwo electric drive
Compact double hatchback. At the moment, it is not officially delivered to Russia.
Features:
- power reserve on the electric motor 120-150 km;
- reaches a speed of 125 km / h;
- accelerate to hundreds of kilometers in 11 seconds.
A used copy will cost about 2-2,5 million rubles, depending on the condition. This is the perfect car to get around the city.
Nissan Leaf
A popular Japanese electric car, which in Russia can be bought for 1 rubles. Characteristics suitable for driving in urban conditions:
- mileage on a single charge within 175 km;
- speed 145 km/h;
- The salon accommodates five people, including the driver.
Pretty roomy trunk of 330 liters. There are additional systems such as cruise control, ABS, EBD. There are heated seats and steering wheel, you can turn on the climate control to enjoy maximum comfort while driving.
Mitsubishi i-MiEV
At the moment, this model is not for sale, but it is still being produced and may soon go on sale again in the Russian Federation, when the topic of electric cars becomes more popular. The price is 999 thousand rubles.
Specifications:
- a three-cylinder engine with a volume of 0,6 liters with a capacity of 64 hp;
- mileage with a fully charged battery is 120 km;
- speed 130 km/h;
- rear drive;
- installed automatic transmission.
Mitsubishi i-MiEV is the most affordable electric car in Japan. In other countries of the world, it is also produced under other brands: Peugeot iOn, Citroen C-Zero, Mitsuoka Like, Subaru O2.
As you can see, the choice on the electric car market is not the most extensive. However, an influx of cheaper Chinese electric cars is already expected today, including cargo and passenger minivans: WZ-A1, WZ-B1, Electric Bus TS100007, Weichai crossovers and Hover DLEVM1003 ELECTRIC.
