• most often in an accident, the frontal part of the car suffers (according to statistics, the death rate of front passengers is 10 times higher than the death rate of those in the back);
• in the event of a danger, the driver intuitively tries to avoid a collision and turns the steering wheel to the side (the car turns around, and just the person in the front seat is exposed to the impact);
• when turning left, an oncoming vehicle often rams the starboard side.

• the instinctive behavior of drivers leads to the fact that when there is a threat of a collision, it is the starboard side, located on the other side of the car, that suffers;
• protects the trunk from rear collisions.

In reality, the person seated in the rear left is at risk of serious injury in the event of a side impact. In addition, many drivers move their seat back, so that in an accident, the likelihood of a fracture is increased. This seat is considered the most dangerous among the rear.

Assessing the safety of passenger seats is quite difficult, since the severity of injuries is highly dependent on the type of accident. So, front passengers are almost not afraid of side impacts, and head-on collisions can lead to death, while for the rear, the situation is exactly the opposite.

However, the vast majority of experts believe that the safest place is the middle rear seat. If the car has three rows of seats, it is better to choose a seat in the 2nd row in the middle.
