Yamaha FJR1300

The 1298 cubic foot four-cylinder engine has so much torque and power that it takes corners with maximum enthusiasm. Regardless of speed, it reacts to acceleration as if it had an automatic transmission. I just pull, pull. It can produce 145 hp. at 8.500 rpm.

You know, in 1984 motorcyclists were very pleased with the predecessor of this engine, the FJ 1100. Then came the FJ 1200. The FJR 1300 continues the tradition and embodies the achievements of today.

It has electrically adjustable Plexiglas armor - it is moved by a modest 120 mm by a button on the steering wheel with a controlled electric motor; it has a cardan power transmission to the bike, it already has a built-in suitcase holder designed for this model. It is, of course, a must-buy. Because the motorcycle is designed for long trips at high speeds: for example, with suitcases up to 240 km per hour.

He sits upright enough to be comfortable. The steering wheel is rather curved towards the driver, the rear-view mirrors are also chic. The engine has two vibration damping shafts, but at 5000 (which means another 150 km / h on the way) the vibrations can become annoying for the watch.

The FJ 1200, which I owned many years ago, spun at high speeds like a drunk limping at home. I have no comment on the stability of the FJR 1300. Not even in terms of weight, because at 237 kg it is one of the lightest bikes in its class.
