Kia Picanto bulb replacement
The second generation Kia Picanto with lens optics has one lamp installed: Hb3. This applies to high and low beam headlights. The lenses are equipped with shutters that take care of the change. You will have no problem buying these bulbs as they have been installed in Hyundai and Kia since 2016 in low beam headlights.
Which lamps to choose for replacement
So, as I wrote above, HB3 12v / 60W lamps are used. Manufacturers offer a fairly wide range of light bulbs: standard, with increased brightness or glowing with white light.
- OSRAM HB3-12-60 + 110% - from 1800 rubles (increased brightness)
- NARVA HB3-12-60 from 250 rubles.
- PHILIPS HB3-12-65 + 30% Vision from 350 rubles.
- KOITO HB3-12-55 (9005) from 320 rubles.
- VALEO HB3-12-60 Standard 250 rubles.
- OSRAM HB3-12-60 from 380 rubles.
- DiaLuch NV3-12-60 + 90% P20D Megalight Ultra from 500 rubles.
Any of these bulbs will fit the headlight. When buying these lamps, make sure that the lamp is really HB3, otherwise some sellers mistake it for HB4. Which, by the way, are installed in the Picanto fog lights.
Instructions for self-replacement lamps
- Open the hood and unscrew the headlight cover clockwise half a turn.
- We see a lamp with a washer. Carefully, also half a turn, turn the lamp and remove it from the seat.
- Now remove the lamp block. Take a new lamp, put a washer on it and install in reverse order.
On the left side, changing the light bulb will not be a problem, but on the right side you will have to work hard, since it is difficult to get to the headlight cover.
