Replacing the coolant

The manufacturer recommends replacing the coolant after 2 years of operation or after 60 thousand kilometers. Also, if the fluid changes color to reddish, replace it immediately, as such a change in color indicates that inhibitory additives have been developed and the fluid has become aggressive towards parts of the cooling system.

You will need: key 8, key 13, screwdriver, coolant, clean rag.

WARNINGS

Change the coolant only when the engine is cold.

Coolant is toxic, so be careful when handling it.

When starting the engine, the expansion tank cap must be closed.

1. Install the car on a flat horizontal platform. If the site is sloping, park the vehicle so that the front of the vehicle is higher than the rear.

2. Disconnect one cable from the "-" battery plug.

3. Open the heater valve by moving the valve control lever to the right as far as it will go.

4. To access the drain plug 1 on the cylinder block, remove the ignition module 2 together with the bracket (see "Removing and installing the ignition module").

5. Unscrew the cap from the expansion tank.

6. Place a container under the engine and unscrew the drain plug on the cylinder block.

After draining the coolant, remove all traces of coolant from the cylinder block.

7. Place a container under the radiator, unscrew the radiator drain plug and wait until the coolant is completely drained from the system.

8. Screw plugs on the block of cylinders and a radiator.

9. To prevent the formation of an air pocket when filling the cooling system with liquid, loosen the clamp and disconnect the coolant supply hose from the throttle assembly heater fitting. Pour fluid into the expansion tank until it comes out of the hose.

Reinstall hose.

10. Completely fill the engine cooling system by pouring coolant into the expansion tank up to the “MAX” mark. Screw on the wide tank cap.

WARNING

Screw on the expansion tank cap securely.

The expansion tank is pressurized when the engine is running, so coolant may leak from a loose cap or the cap may break.

11. Install the ignition module in the reverse order of removal.

12. Connect the cable to the "-" plug of the battery.

13. Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature (until the fan turns on).

Then turn off the engine, check the coolant level and, if necessary, top up to the “MAX” mark on the expansion tank.

WARNING

With the engine running, watch the coolant temperature on the gauge. If the arrow has moved into the red zone and the fan does not turn on, turn on the heater and check how much air is passing through it.

If hot air flows through the heater, the fan is most likely defective; if it is cold, then an air lock has formed in the engine cooling system.

Then stop the engine. To remove the air lock, let the engine cool and unscrew the cap of the expansion tank (attention: if the engine does not cool completely, coolant may splash out of the tank).

Disconnect the coolant supply hose from the throttle assembly heating fitting and fill the expansion tank with liquid to the norm.

thanks, i didn't know about connecting the hose

Very useful. Thanks!!! About the hose in the fitting found only here.

Thank you, useful information, easy and simple to change the fluid)))) thanks again

Yes, the hose is written only here! Thank you very much, I'll go change my clothes .. I think everything will work out)))

About the hose fitting is very well written, but it did not help me. I poured liquid into the tank to MAX and even a little higher, but the coolant connection hose does not flow.

I found on the Internet an effective way against the airbag: disconnect the connecting hose, unscrew the plug of the expansion tank and blow into the tank. Antifreeze will come out of the connecting hose. At the time of spraying, you need to quickly lower it and tighten the tank cap. Everything — the cork is pushed out.

I don’t have a fitting, the accelerator is electronic, how come
