use a spanner or adjustable wrench to turn the belt tensioner counterclockwise, and fix the tensioner in the bent state with a curly screwdriver; if there is no screw, you can insert a drill of the appropriate size;
finally disassemble the pump pulley fasteners and remove them;
remove the decorative engine cover with the Mitsubishi inscription;
remove wire shavings from the engine held in the ignition coils.

When replacing the crankshaft oil seal, loosen the crankshaft pulley center bolt. The easiest way to do this is by turning the starter, turning it on for a couple of seconds - fourth gear. Before that, you need to put a powerful key under the drive wheel of the car and insert it into the head of a suitable size (21-22M).

If everything is dry and the oil seal does not pass, it is enough to unscrew 4 additional fasteners from the crankshaft pulley.

disassemble the lower protection of the gas distribution mechanism;
unscrew the timing belt tensioner pulley;
remove the tensioner;
pull out the crankshaft gear;
remove the crankshaft position sensor (CPC);
unscrew the balancer shaft roller and belt;
pull out the timing belt pulley.

Installation is carried out in the following sequence:

put the bypass roller together with the bracket;
return the power steering pump to its place;
rotate the balancing roller, aligning the marks on the crankshaft pulley with the risks on the internal combustion engine;
put on the balancing belt and tighten;
finally tighten the balancing roller - a normally tensioned element should not bend more than 5-7 mm if you press it with your hand from above;
screw the DPK;
reinstall the gear and tensioner;
align the marks on the camshaft sprockets with the marks on the engine;
put on the timing belt;
Align the marks on the oil pump.

Be sure to check the marks on the second balance shaft or oil pump. We need to get under the car, find the spark plug bolt behind the catalyst. Unscrew it and insert a screwdriver or any suitable bolt into the hole. If there is more than 4 cm of free space inside, the marks are aligned correctly. If it sticks, turn the oil pump gear 1 turn and check again. Repeat until the bolt sinks more than 4-5 cm.

An incorrectly set oil pump mark leads to an imbalance in the balance shaft. This causes noise and vibration.

put the timing belt on the crankshaft and oil pump gear;
turn the roller to the right, achieving the initial tension;
finally tighten the timing belt screw and carefully remove the pin;
double check all labels;
install the crankshaft pulley, turn it clockwise until the marks on the camshaft match the ICE risks;
put on the lower protective cover;
screw the intermediate roller of the drive shaft;
