- peeling of teeth from the base of the belt

- Loosen the alternator belt and remove it
- Jack up the front right side of the vehicle
- Remove the liner and plastic protection
- Engage fifth gear and place stops under the wheel or ask an assistant to press the brake pedal
- With the help of a 17 head and a powerful wrench, rip off the bolt securing the alternator belt drive pulley, while it should not be unscrewed to the end until
- Raising the car, by rotating the wheel, set the timing mechanism according to the marks
- After that, you can completely unscrew the generator belt drive pulley and remove it
- Unscrew the tension roller, or rather the nut of its fastening and remove it
- Remove timing belt
- Check the condition of the second support roller, pump and, if necessary, replace all these parts

According to the manufacturer's recommendation, the timing belt on 16-valve engines should be replaced at least once every 60 km. If you notice any damage to the belt, then it must be changed ahead of time.
