Replacing the fuel pump grid with Lada Largus
As already mentioned in the previous materials on the site, the main reason for the decrease in pressure in the fuel system of the Lada Largus may be clogging of the strainer, which is located directly in front of the pump.
In order to perform this simple repair, we do not need an extra tool, except for what is needed to remove the fuel pump itself. So, the first thing you need to do is pull the module assembly out of the tank. When this is done, we pour out the gasoline from the “bath” so that it does not spill during operation.
After that, it is worth using a thin flat screwdriver to pry and remove the bath, as is clearly shown in the photo below.
As a result, we get the following picture:
Of course, before proceeding with further actions, we thoroughly rinse everything with a special agent (preferably for cleaning the carburetor):
So, the fuel pump mesh is inside, and clearly it looks like this:
To remove it, just pry it off with a thin flat screwdriver.
And the mesh is removed without any problems.
The new strainer is installed in the reverse order. As you can see, the replacement is not difficult, everything is quite simple and does not take much time. Usually, even after small runs, for example 50 km, the mesh already needs to be replaced, as it is quite dirty.
The price of a new mesh is from 100 to 300 rubles, of course, from Taiwan to the original spare part.
