The main reason why you have to replace the electric window on the Lada Grant car is the failure of the motor itself. Less often, the structure of the mechanism itself fails, but it also happens. So, to replace the front power window assembly, we need the following tool:
- 10 mm head
- rattle or collar
- 8 mm head
- flat blade screwdriver
The procedure for replacing the window regulator on the Grant with your own hands
So, first of all, you need to perform several preparatory moments, without which it is impossible to get to the structure itself.
- Remove the front door trim
- Remove the bolts securing the glass to the lift bar
- Disconnect the power wires from the power window motor
Next, we perform the following actions. Using a 10 mm head, unscrew all the nuts securing the trapezoid to the door. They are clearly shown in the photo below.
There are 11 such nuts in total.
When everything has been unscrewed, lightly press on each of the pins of the lift so that it moves inward.
Further, it is already possible, by simple manipulations with the trapezoid, to pull it out along with the motor.
We pass the motor through the same hole in the door and take out the rest of the Grants window lifter, as shown clearly below.
