Replacing the glass of the front doors on the VAZ 2107

In previous posts I wrote that I had to change the front windows in my VAZ 2107 due to the presence of tinting on them. But everything turned out to be not so simple as I expected. I will tell you about this procedure in more detail below and give a few photos of this repair.

First, we need to remove the trim of any of the door, for this we need a Phillips screwdriver and a flat one, then to pry it off the latches.

 

After that, you need to remove the lever handle for raising and lowering the glasses, there you need to push the plastic lock and the handle itself can be removed without unnecessary effort. Then, as everything turned out to be removed, it is necessary to deal directly with the removal of glasses.

The glass is held by two metal clips, into which are inserted rubber bands, thanks to which it is firmly held in this clip and does not pop out!

Further, when the plates are unscrewed, each has two bolts that can be unscrewed with a curly screwdriver, you can knock the staples off the glass by gently tapping down with the hammer handle so as not to damage the glass. After that, you can take out the old glass by slightly turning it vertically and put a new one in its place, again driving it into these staples. You will have to suffer a little here, since the plates are very narrow.
