Replacing the fuel filter for VAZ 2114 and 2115

On all VAZ 2114 and 2115 injection vehicles, special fuel filters are installed in a metal case, which are very different from those that were previously on carburetor versions of cars.
Where is the fuel filter on the VAZ 2114 and what are the mounts
The location will be clearly shown in the photos below, but in a nutshell, it is located in close proximity to the gas tank. As for the fastening and method of connecting the fuel pipes, they can be different:
- Fixation with plastic fittings on metal latches
- Fixing fuel pipes with nuts (on older models)
If the fuel filter housing itself is fastened in a clamp and tightened with a bolt and a nut, then you will also need a 10 key. Below is the entire list of required tools:
First, disconnect the fuel pump power plug, or remove the fuse that is responsible for its power supply. After that, we start the car and wait until it stalls. We turn the starter for a few more seconds and that's it - we can assume that the pressure in the system has been released.
Then you can proceed directly to the replacement. For this, it is most convenient to use a pit. We look at how the filter is attached and, on this basis, we disconnect the fittings:
If they are of a different type than in the photo above, then we just do it differently: by pressing on the metal brackets, we move the fittings to the sides and they are removed from the fuel filter taps. For a clearer example, you can see how it all looks live.

An example is shown on a Kalina car, but in fact, there will be no difference, or it will be minimal.
If everything is different, then it is additionally necessary to unscrew the clamp fastening nut:
And then dilute it and take out our gasoline purification element.
Installing a new one takes place in the reverse order. It is worth keeping in mind the following fact: the arrow on the body should point in the direction of the movement of gasoline, that is, from the tank to the engine.
After the new part is installed in its place, we put a fuse or connect the plug and pump it with a gas pump a couple of times. Then you can try to start the engine. Usually everything goes smoothly and without unnecessary problems. The price of a gas filter for a VAZ 2114-2115 ranges from 150 to 300 rubles apiece.
