Replacing brake discs with Lada Largus

If the brake discs are sufficiently worn out, when their thickness becomes less than permissible, they must be replaced with new ones. Since Lada Largus cars are equipped with different types of engines, the braking system may differ slightly. And these differences will be in the thickness of the brake disc, namely, for engines:

  • K7M = 12mm (1,6 8-valve)
  • K4M = 20,7mm (1,6 16-valve)

I don't think it's worth explaining once again that the more powerful the engine, the better the brakes should be. That is why the disc thickness on 16-valve engines should be thicker. As for the minimum allowable thickness, it is:

  • K7M = 10,6 mm
  • K4M = 17,7 mm

If during the measurement it turned out that the above figures are larger than in reality, then the parts must be replaced.

To perform this repair, we need the following tool:

  1. Ratchet and crank
  2. Hammer
  3. 18 mm head
  4. Bit Torx t40
  5. Bit holder
  6. Metal brush
  7. Copper or aluminum grease
