Grante rear window replacement
In most of the cars that are produced from the Avtovaz conveyor, it is Lada Grants that are meant, rear mechanical windows are installed. Of course, some luxury trim levels have electric lifts, but most deal with mechanics. In this article, we will consider the procedure for such repairs as replacing the rear door window regulator.
In order to complete this procedure, you will need the following tool:
- Head for 10 mm as well as 8 mm
- Crank or ratchet
Removal and installation of a rear power window door on Grant
First you need to remove the rear door trim, only after that it will be possible to proceed with the repair. In the photo below, you can clearly see all the bolts and nuts that will need to be unscrewed in order to subsequently remove the entire structure as an assembly.
One nut is located on top, above the glass mount. Two are at the bottom, which is clearly shown in the photo.
Three fastening nuts are located to the side, it is difficult to miss them, they are, as it were, in one place:
Next, you need to unscrew the two bolts securing the glass to the window regulator bar and fix it in the raised position so that it does not fall.
Now you can start dismantling the power window, since nothing else holds it. Of course, you first need to drown the studs inside the door so that the trapezoid assembly moves inside without much difficulty. It must be removed through the lowest hole - the largest in size.
We take it out and install the new Grants window regulator in its place. The price of this part is about 600 rubles.
