Protect your neck

Protect your neck BMW introduces the Neck Brace System, a system that protects the driver's neck.

Helmets and protectors are quite commonly used by two wheeler owners. However, the neck and back of the neck still represent a relatively major security gap. Although injuries to this body part are statistically less frequent in crashes than injuries to other parts of the body, they are disproportionately more dangerous to the motorcyclist.

The Neck Brace System is a lightweight carbon, Kevlar and fiberglass construction, partially lined with a soft cushioning sponge. The neck protection is put on it in the same way as the collar. The system does not form a static connection between the helmet and the shoulder part, but rests on the torso. Its operation is visible when the driver moves his head forward, backward or to the side: under normal conditions, the necessary freedom of movement is maintained, but the head may be tilted too much in certain directions.
