This type of insulation is positioned as a coating designed to suppress noise, as well as protect car body parts from damage and rust.

However, the use of sheet noise insulation leads to an increase in the mass of the car, which affects its maneuverability, speed, and, accordingly, gasoline consumption. Liquid noise insulation is a pasty material with a lot of positive properties:

That is, this rubber easily tolerates sudden changes in temperature, frosty winters and hot summers. In addition, liquid rubber is not afraid of snow, rain, it retains its qualities at temperatures from -50 to +50 degrees.
However, do not assume that with the help of liquid soundproofing, you can immediately get rid of all problems. Experienced craftsmen do not recommend using it inside the cabin. The most optimal places for application are the trunk, fender liner, wheel arches, bottom. It can also be used in combination with vibroplast to get a much better effect.
If you look at the chemical composition of liquid noise insulation, we will see here a polymer base made of liquid rubber, which quickly hardens, as well as various types of additives and plasticizers to increase elasticity, flexibility, resistance to heat or cold. In addition, such a coating is completely inert, that is, it will not react with salts, which are poured in tons on our roads in winter.

- Noiseliquidator.
The first two types are single-component compositions that can be immediately applied to the prepared surface.
Noiseliquidator (produced in Russia) refers to two-component compositions, that is, it consists directly of the mastic itself and the hardener, they must be mixed in the specified proportion, and only then applied.
The specific gravity of all these compositions is approximately 4 kg / sq.m, and the level of vibration and noise absorption is 40%.
On sale you can find many other bituminous mastics with the addition of rubber or rubber crumb, which may be cheaper, but we would recommend using these types, since they can be used both for soundproofing the bottom and hard-to-reach places, such as fender liner or wheel arches. Also, with such compositions, you can cover the lid and the inner surfaces of the trunk, which will help you get rid of the squeak.
Liquid soundproofing Noxudol 3100
Noxudol is a Swedish brand. The range of temperatures that insulation can withstand without losing its properties is 100 degrees - from minus 50 to + 50 degrees.
It can be sold both in large buckets, weighing 18-20 kilograms, and in small liter cans. It can be applied both with a brush and with a sprayer. The latter method is more preferable.
You can process the bottom, wheel arches, fender liner, inner walls of the trunk with paste. Some also apply it to the engine compartment so that noise from the engine does not penetrate into the cabin.
Noxudol 3100 refers to one-component mastics. It must be applied to a well-prepared surface, as free as possible from dirt and grease.
The composition spreads over the surface and forms a thin rubber film with high sound absorption properties.
Apply it in two layers. After applying the first layer, wait until it begins to polymerize, and only after that the next layer is sprayed. For better adhesion to the surface, you can use a building hair dryer, although not necessary - check this issue with specialists or carefully read the instructions for use.

Dinitrol 479
This is also a very effective tool, which is used mainly for the bottom and wheel arches. Noise reduction after its application reaches 40%, the effect is most noticeable at speeds up to 90 km/h. Drivers note that in winter, when you drive with studded tires on bare asphalt, the noise is not as audible in the cabin as before.
It is applied in the same way as Noxudol, in two layers. You can use brushes, although with a sprayer you can do it much faster, and there will also be less bumps. Surfaces must be well cleaned, degreased with spray formulations, wait for complete drying and only then apply the product.
The composition is completely polymerized in 10-12 hours, while it can easily tolerate temperatures up to 100 degrees. Not afraid of snow, rain, salt. After about 2-3 years, this operation can be repeated.

NoiseLiquidator
The two-component mastic StP Noise Liquidator is quite popular with drivers. It is positioned not only as noise insulation, but also as anti-corrosion protection.
Just like the previous types, it is applied to completely cleaned and degreased surfaces. Places of application - bottom, floor, fender liner.
Due to the thick consistency, it is applied with a special spatula. It dries very quickly - within two hours.
