In order to deal with these surprises and properly prepare the car for driving, we need a scraper and a sweeper. Special anti-icers and anti-icing mats are gaining more and more popularity.

If snowfall and frosty temperatures await us, do not forget to take a little more time before the trip to thoroughly wash the car so that you can safely drive into traffic. Let's start with cleaning windows, lanterns and roof from snow.

Once we get rid of the layer of snow, we may encounter a layer of ice on the windows. A proven way to clean a car is to use an ice scraper. Remember that you should not get rid of ice only from the windshield, as well as from the side and rear windows, not forgetting about the mirrors. – Try to remove the ice from the windows carefully, because it is easy to damage the seals next to the windows. Do not forget about the rugs, on which ice also accumulates. Remaining ice particles can adversely affect the efficiency of the wipers and sometimes scratch the windshield, says Zbigniew Veseli, director of the Renault Driving School.
Recently, de-icers and special mats that protect the windshield from icing are also popular. Please note that the de-icer spray may be less effective in windy conditions. In addition, with a thicker layer of ice, it also needs some time to work effectively. The advantage, however, is that the removal of ice is much easier and does not require any effort, judge the instructors of the Renault Driving School.
Windshield mats can significantly reduce the time it takes to de-ice, as it is usually the windshield that takes the most time and precision.
Before leaving, it is worth checking the washer fluid level, because in winter conditions much more is spent on maintaining good visibility, which is necessary for road safety.
