Someone can independently weld a completely reliable buffer and attach it to the body. However, no matter how strong and beautiful a homemade bumper is, installing such products on a car is fraught with problems with the law. Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses 12.5 states that it is prohibited to operate a car with unregistered modifications to body elements. For this, a fine of 500 rubles is established.

  1. Pry off the bumper cover with the tip of a screwdriver.
  2. Remove the trim, taking care not to scratch the surface of the bumper itself.
  3. Using spanners, unscrew the nuts with the buffer mounting bracket bolt (they are located on the inside of the bumper).
  4. Pull the buffer towards you and remove it from the bracket.

The new bumper is installed in reverse order. If necessary, you can replace the bolts and nuts if they are badly corroded.

Removing the rear bumper

To remove the rear buffer from the VAZ 2105, you will need the same set of tools: a flat screwdriver and open-end wrenches for 10 and 13. The dismantling procedure is practically no different from the process of removing the front bumper, however, it is worth considering some of the nuances of the fasteners. In some years of production, the VAZ 2105 was equipped with rear bumpers, which were fixed on the body not only with bolts, but also with screws. Accordingly, the lining could not be removed quickly - you had to unscrew the screws with a screwdriver.

The fangs are made of plastic and rubber and complement the bracket, as well as enhance the protection of the body itself. You can remove the buffer both separately and with fangs if they are cracked or broken and require replacement.
