"Quick Start" - what is it, how to use it?

This tool is designed to facilitate starting the engine at low temperatures (up to minus 50 degrees), as well as in conditions of high humidity and sudden changes in temperature. In a humid climate, it often happens that moisture settles on the contacts of the distributor or on the battery electrodes, respectively, sufficient voltage is not generated for a spark to occur - "Quick Start" will help in this case too.

According to its composition, it is an aerosol containing ethereal flammable substances - diesters and stabilizers, propane, butane.

These substances, getting into the fuel, provide its better flammability and more stable combustion. It also contains lubricating additives, thanks to which friction is practically eliminated at the time of starting the engine.

Using this tool is quite simple.

First you need to shake the can well several times. Then, for 2-3 seconds, its contents must be injected into the intake manifold, through which air enters the engine. For each specific model, you need to look at the instructions - the air filter, directly into the carburetor, into the intake manifold.

After you have injected the aerosol, start the car - it should start normally. If the first time does not work, the operation can be repeated. Experts do not advise injecting it more than twice, because most likely you have problems with the ignition system and you need to check the spark plugs and electrical equipment.

In principle, if your engine is normal, then "Quick Start" should work immediately. Well, if the car still does not start, you need to look for the cause, and there can be a lot of them.

Is "Quick Start" safe for the engine?

First, they contain substances that can lead to premature detonation. Detonation in the engine is a very dangerous phenomenon, piston rings suffer, valves and even piston walls can burn out, chips form on the liners. If you spray a lot of aerosol, then the motor can simply crumble - after all, it contains propane.

Secondly, the ether in the composition of the "Quick Start" leads to the fact that grease is washed off the walls of the cylinders. The same lubricants that are contained in the aerosol do not provide normal lubrication of the cylinder walls. That is, it turns out that for some time, until the oil warms up, the engine will work without normal lubrication, which leads to overheating, deformation and damage.

Effective "Quick Start" will be for those vehicles that have been idle for a long time. But even here you need to know the measure. It is much more useful to use preventive measures, due to which the friction force is reduced, the wear of parts is minimized, the systems are cleaned of all sediment - paraffin, sulfur, metal chips, and so on. You should also not forget about replacing filters, especially oil and air filters, because it often turns out that it is because of clogged filters that thickened oil does not enter the engine.
