Hyundai G4FP engine
Content
The Hyundai G1.6FP 4-liter turbo engine or Smartstream 1.6 T-GDI has been assembled since 2019 and is installed on popular models such as Sonata, Elantra and K5, but not for our market. This turbo engine is distinguished by the presence of a new CVVD variable valve timing system.
Gamma Family: G4FA, G4FC, G4FD, G4FG, G4FJ, G4FL, G4FM and G4FT.

Disadvantages, breakdowns and problems of the G4FP internal combustion engine
Since this turbine unit has just appeared, there is no information about its breakdowns yet.
Unknown about the reliability of the new CVVD variable valve timing system
The turbine is new here and we hope that it will not drive oil on low runs
Due to the direct fuel injection system, the valves are very quickly overgrown with soot.
Apparently, the hydraulic lifters did not appear and the valves will have to be adjusted
