Drove: Gas Gas Randonne 125 4T

 This year a new concept of “double sport” leisure bikes was introduced to the market. The name Randonne in French means hiking, mountaineering, which clearly tells us what the motorcycle is for. This is a kind of mixture of trial and enduro motorcycle. Quite easy to operate, lightweight, as it weighs only 86 kilograms (without liquid), it is intended for undemanding users who want to gradually and correctly master the technique of riding off-road motorcycles. Thus, it is also very suitable for additional training for all enduro and cross-country participants.

On first contact, a circle with a motorcycle, the sensation was quite unusual. Everything is done while standing (although it also has a seat that can be easily removed), the seat is more of an emergency nature, it does not bother you at all during a test ride and comes in handy when using the motorcycle. in a more urban environment, such as for day to day activities, jumping to the store, on a date or something like that, which makes the trip very easy and simple. The clutch travel is long and precise, which is what we expected, considering that this is the main element of the test ride. In difficult conditions, the clutch is almost never completely disengaged. Also very important is the throttle valve, which is open all the time so that the engine is constantly spinning and is ready for a quick reaction. The design and components of the engine are at a satisfactory level, even the brakes are working properly, which is not particularly demanding, since the speeds for this type of driving are low.

The TX Randonne 125cc is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with five gears. The gear ratios between gears are larger compared to classic tests, which also provides faster and smoother off-road driving, and you can also drive into town if you like. For example, going to the store after a small purchase, since the motorcycle is also road-legal. It has a fairly transparent multifunction display on the steering wheel, it is started by pressing the starter button or feet. If you are looking for a motorized car for a vacation, daytime getaway, or something in lieu of a scooter, this can be an interesting choice.
