So you won’t be surprised why we’ll be shorter here. On these warm enough days for the first few kilometers with motorcycles, our schedules for the real test are crowded, and the line in front of the Honda dealership is winding as everyone would like to experience how to ride. Honda vs. BMW GS... So, this time only briefly about this Honda. The real test follows.

V4 then... Such a motorcycle is most loved by motorcyclists, as it pleases with driving performance, sound and temperament. We liked it in the VFR 800, we liked it in the Crossrunner, and it performed well in the VFR 1200. But how does a 16-valve V4 with 76 degrees between the cylinders fit into a touring enduro? This time, let's start with a black plaque: the engine is thirsty, as we expected. After the first (really busy) 30 kilometers, the on-board computer showed a consumption of almost nine liters per 100 kilometers.

The next day, after finishing the photo session, I took some time and with my gentle right hand managed to conjure the figure 6,4 on the screen, which is still three deciliters more than the plant promises. But at the same time, I have never used the potential hidden in 1.200 4 cubic meters. On a road superbike like the Aprilia RSV4 (V21,5 turns out to be phenomenal too), two liters are not a major issue and this is a touring bike with a 300 liter fuel tank, which is average. consumption of seven liters, promises a mileage of about XNUMX km. Not a little, but not a lot.

On the other hand, Crosstourer, as opposed to competitive "economical" offers power supply to the top of the helmet... It pulls well from two thousand rpm, and in sixth gear at 228 kilometers per hour, the electronics prevent further acceleration. Enough? Too much. Motorcyclists and rescuers from Ljubljana allegedly rated the performance as truly impressive.

It also impresses with its proportional workspace (or rather pleasure). I like the high ones, the lower ones grow a little less - also because of this heavier, which resembles maneuvering at a gas station. The bike is reliably left to handle and gives a much better feel when riding faster than Ms. Varadero, who remains in Honda's offering for at least two more years at a good price.

One more word about anti-slip system: It reacts quickly, efficiently and gently when the rear wheel slips or the front wheel rises, but then returns the available engine power to the driver in a curve with a slight delay. According to the man: soon after slipping, the engine does not allow to fully open the gas. Miraculously, TC (traction control) switches even while driving.

That's all. But more on that when we take a longer drive with the new Honda (added: you can read the comparative class test here). If your fingers (and wallet) are too itchy, call your nearest dealer - they should offer potential customers test drives.
