Ford announces premiere of Bronco SUV

In June this year, Ford will present its new SUV, which will revive the name Bronco. This was reported on the official website of the American brand. The car was originally scheduled to premiere at the New York Auto Show, but the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sales of the new model in the US are scheduled for next year. The main competitor to the Ford Bronco will be the new Jeep Wrangler. The crossover will be manufactured at the Michigan plant.

The SUV was repeatedly filmed by spies, but so far in all the photos the new car is hidden under camouflage. Judging by the images, Bronco will receive wide wheel arches and LED semicircular optics. It is expected that the new model will be available with two and four doors, as well as with a panoramic roof.

Technical specifications of the new SUV are also kept secret. According to unofficial data, the car will receive a 2,3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine. The power of the unit will be 270 hp. The engine will work in conjunction with a 10-speed automatic or 7-speed manual transmission.

Under the name Bronco, Americans produced full-fledged SUVs from 1966 to 1996. During this time, the car managed to change five generations.
