Complete set of the immobilizer "Starline i95"

The device is packed in a branded box confirming the manufacturer's warranty.

The main function

The immobilizer can be used in two modes:

  1. Checking the presence of an electronic key is carried out once when starting the engine.
  2. Throughout the journey. The mode is designed to prevent the theft of an already running car.

Blocking the vehicle engine at the start of work makes it possible to use it in conjunction with engine auto-start devices.

The activation of the device occurs at once, this is enough to prevent the detection of electrical circuits for blocking the power unit of the machine.

Display of the set operating mode of the blocker - on the radio tag and the control unit.

The function of changing the immobilizer action mode using an electronic key:

  1. Service - temporarily turning off the blocker in case the car is transferred to another person, for example, for repairs.
  2. Debugging - allows you to reconfigure the release code.

Signal stability control function: the device checks the presence of all immobilizer components in automatic mode. Allows you to calibrate additional components of the blocker.

Starline i95 modifications

Comparison of Starline i95 immobilizers

The Starline i95 Eco model is cheaper due to the lack of a hands-free mode.

The "Lux" model provides the ability to adjust the search distance by the control unit of the electronic key. A remote label with a light indicator and a control button is provided here (used to turn off the immobilizer in case of an emergency).

Advantages and disadvantages

Using the Starline i95 immobilizer provides the following benefits:

  • The power unit of the car is blocked when trying to steal.
  • The presence of the owner of the vehicle is determined by the electronic key. In the absence of a radio tag, the car engine will not start.
  • The radio exchange channel between the control unit and the radio sensor is encrypted, and signal interception will not give any result to intruders.
  • The device has a motion sensor. If unauthorized persons enter the cabin without a tag, the engine will not be able to be unlocked.
  • The RFID tag is enclosed in a sealed housing that protects the electronics of the device from moisture or dust.
  • The system provides for the possibility of connecting additional control devices.

Connecting the Starline i95 immobilizer

When using the Starline i95 model, the wire marked IGN is connected to an electrical circuit that provides a voltage of 12 volts after the engine is started.

Connecting outputs

Contacts Lock and Unlock are used for locking or unlocking the central lock, blocking the hood.

Various command options are provided.

The Input contact is connected to the appropriate limit switch to provide control of door and hood locks. If they are not closed, locking will not occur. Therefore, there must be a negative signal on the wire.

The Output output provides the possibility of using the immobilizer simultaneously with devices for monitoring the presence of a car user in the car.

Connecting outputs

The principle of operation is as follows: if the radio tag gives a response to the signal, then the resistance on the cable will become high. Therefore, the connection must be disconnected. The ground or negative contact is connected when a signal is received from the electronic key.

Sound detector connection

The Output contact must be connected to the negative output of the buzzer, and the positive contact to the BAT wire on the main module.

In the case of connecting an LED to a sound signal, the electrical circuit must be parallel. Additionally, you need to connect a resistor.

Place the beeper in such a way that its sound is clearly audible to the owner. The buzzer should not be located near the main module. This may affect the motion sensor.

Universal channel connection

The options for connecting the EXT contact, in accordance with the instruction manual for the Starline i95 immobilizer, are as follows:

  • Plus the brake pedal. It is performed to make a request to the device before blocking the motor, if the anti-theft option is enabled.
  • Plus limit switch. Used to control locks. Recommended on machines with 12 volt potential on the device if the locks are unlocked.
  • Negative contact of the touch sensor (not included in the standard package). When the Handsfree option is enabled, if the radio tag responds, the lock will be released from the lock only after recognition.
  • Negative contact for brake lights. This element is used to notify other road users that the vehicle has stopped before the engine is turned off.
  • Negative contact on dimensions. Used to signal the opening and closing of locks.
