How to make a cool tuning "Lada Priora" with your own hands

The first Lada Priora rolled off the assembly line in 2007. After a couple of years, this car became very popular with domestic motorists, mainly because of its affordable price. At the same time, many car owners strive to give their Priora individuality. Make it look more solid and more expensive. Tuning helps them with this. Let's see what the procedure is.

Engine change

The Priory engine provides ample opportunities for tuning. Most often, motorists bore the cylinder block and put shortened pistons in the engine. Such pistons, in turn, require the replacement of the crankshaft. As a result, the characteristics of the engine are completely changed, and its power can increase by 35%. But there is a downside: fuel consumption will also increase. Therefore, not all motorists decide on such a radical tuning of the motor. Many are limited to installing mechanical compressors in the motor that can increase engine power by 10-15%.

Another inexpensive way to increase the dynamic parameters of the Priora is to work with a carburetor. In this device, jets and an acceleration pump are changed (most often, parts manufactured by BOSCH are installed in place of standard spare parts). The fuel level is then finely adjusted. As a result, the car picks up speed twice as fast.

Chassis

When it comes to changes in the chassis, the first thing drivers do is remove the regular brake booster, and put a vacuum one in its place, always with two membranes. This doubles the reliability of the brakes. Stiffer springs and ceramic-coated discs are installed in the clutch basket, and a lightweight flywheel is placed on the crankshaft. This measure significantly reduces the acceleration time of the car without premature wear of the clutch and gearbox.

Therefore, tuning enthusiasts are trying to replace them with cast ones, since they are more beautiful and lighter. But for all its attractiveness, a cast disc, unlike a steel one, is very fragile. And its maintainability tends to zero;
• replacement or modification of mirrors. The most inexpensive option is to install special overlays purchased at the store on regular mirrors. This simple procedure radically changes the look of the side mirrors. The second option is to install mirrors from other cars. Now that AvtoVAZ has updated its lineup, Priors are often equipped with mirrors from Grants or Vesta. But before installation, they will have to be finalized, since they are attached to the body in different ways;
• replacing door handles. Regular handles on the "Prior" are trimmed with ordinary plastic, usually black. Yes, they look very old fashioned. Therefore, tuning enthusiasts often replace them with chrome-plated handles, "drowned" in the car body. As an option, the handles can be finished in carbon look, or completely match the color of the car body. There is no shortage of door handles today. And on the counter of any spare parts store, a car enthusiast will always be able to choose the option that suits him.

Tuning of salon

Here are the typical tuning options for the Priora salon:

• upholstery change. The regular upholstery on the "Prior" is an ordinary leather substitute with plastic fragments. This option does not suit everyone, and drivers often remove almost all plastic inserts, replacing them with leatherette. Sometimes carpet is used as an upholstery material, although such upholstery does not differ in durability. Salons are rarely trimmed with natural leather, since this pleasure is not cheap. • replacement of standard lamps. Initially, Priora is equipped with conventional halogen incandescent lamps, which cannot boast of either special brightness or long service life. Therefore, instead of them, drivers put more durable and brighter LED bulbs;
• headlight lens replacement. Usually new lenses come with xenon illumination. On the one hand, it looks very nice. On the other hand, too bright headlights can cause questions from traffic police officers.
