What tires for the summer
The winter that attacked us last week showed that we should not give up winter tires too soon. There are many indications that only now you can think about how to “dress” the car with summer tires.

By the way, I pay attention to the table, which indicates when to use winter tires, when summer and summer tires have high performance characteristics (in other words: with the highest speed indexes).
We thoroughly inspect used summer tires before reinstalling them. If the tread is badly worn, consider buying new tires. The tread, even if its height exceeds the minimum 1,5 mm, may not provide sufficient grip on wet roads. When driving in heavy rain or puddles, the tires must shed large amounts of water. A worn tread has limited water drainage, which can lead to hydroplaning. This phenomenon occurs when the tire does not get water out from under it - then instead of touching the road surface, it slides on the water. This is tantamount to loss of control.
When purchasing new tires, follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions regarding the selection of the appropriate size and other parameters. It is important to choose the correct speed index. Do not install tires with a speed index lower than the vehicle's maximum speed. The index is marked with letters according to the table below.
