Peugeot Speedfight 2

After four years of hugely successful sales of the Speedfight scooter (for example, it was the best-selling scooter in the UK in 1997, 1998 and 1999), Peugeot has covered both market segments with the revamped and still most sporty scooter on offer. ... It attracts both teenagers and people of mature age who need fast and reliable transport in the bustle of the city.

They achieved their goal with an all-encompassing sporty and at the same time elegant design - for the younger ones they enriched it with bright color combinations, and for the older ones they softened it with sophisticated tones. The sporty character of the two-tone combinations is further emphasized by black details (front swingarm, steering wheel and V-shaped plastic grille with Peugeot silver lion, rims and seat).

In terms of technology, we should highlight the front single swing arm with hydraulic shock absorber, as Peugeot was one of the first to introduce this solution in place of the classic telescopic forks. Thus, they have achieved a more accurate and safer ride. The scooter provides excellent contact with the road, which we also tested on a rather poor rubble track, and a safe stop on all road surfaces.

The headlights are also more than excellent. Aha, take! Speedfight has dimmed and high beams (both 35W), so we could go far out of town in the middle of the night without any problems. The instruments and warning lights on the steering wheel are also very functional, especially the precise turn signal switch, which comes in handy on cold autumn days when we have gloves on our hands.

There is plenty of room under the seat for tools, a helmet and more. Unfortunately, the LND-marked test scooter did not have a built-in lock in the rear and electronic anti-theft with an encryption key, so we protected it with a bold classic lock.

The aforementioned “luxury” is offered by the LNDP model, from which several thousand more must be subtracted. You can also afford additional equipment: a windshield in two sizes (49 and 66 cm), a wallet hanger, a suitcase (29 liters), a trunk, an integrated lock with a Boa steel braid, a side stand and a metal one. "chassis" - instead of carpets, these are panels that are very neat in terms of technical appearance. This is a necessary item! In short, we have no comments for Speedfight 2. It's a pleasure to ride. Of course, you have to deduct the hefty savings on the Speed Warrior, as it is in the higher class of scooters.

Of course, again, we cannot miss out on a very good engine and drivetrain combination. Peugeot technicians ensured a quiet and smooth operation with very striking performance. The scooter has excellent acceleration and copes well with slopes, slalom and other similar ladders that show the true face of technology between the wheels.
