A video is posted on the WorldSupercars YouTube channel that you can hear how the engine of the new BMW M4 sounds. Under the hood of the sports coupe there is a standard turbo engine with 6 cylinders, 2 turbochargers, direct fuel injection and adapted for driving on the highway with lubrication and cooling systems.
The 3,0-liter engine and M TwinPower Turbo technology develop 480 hp. in the standard version and 510 hp. in the Performance version. The maximum torque is 550 and 650 Nm, respectively. The unit has two turbochargers with one scroll and the fuel injection is 350 bar. Its impressive sound is enhanced by an electronically controlled exhaust system with 100 mm nozzles.
BMW uses pipes with a large cross-section, which are positioned in such a way as to reduce resistance and to increase the acoustic effect accordingly.

If that's not enough for some, the M Performance catalog also offers an exhaust system with titanium tailpipes. It not only produces a more impressive sound, but also looks more impressive and is 7 kilograms lighter.
