Another problem that torments all Nissan Qashqai car owners is the breakdown of the trunk lid trim fasteners. In this article, we will look at the main ways to repair it.
In all likelihood, this malfunction appears in one of the two owners of cars produced before 2014. After restyling the car, this problem seems to have disappeared.
The mounts of the liners turned out to be completely “liquid”, which affected their reliability. The first signs of tearing off the fasteners appeared in me in the winter, when the tailgate froze a little to the seal and it became difficult to open without effort. That's when he fell into my hands with a bunch of wires sticking out of the door.
There's nothing you can do to fix it.
First I checked the sites of spare parts, but the price of the new ones did not please me at all, and the old ones were more or less in the same condition. After reading a lot of articles on the Internet, I decided to repair it myself, but only in my own way, I didn’t want to put furniture screws at all.
I will describe several repair methods, and you yourself decide which one suits you best.
Method one
We remove the trim of the tailgate by simply pulling it towards you, while unscrewing the self-tapping screw of the handle located on it. The overlay is attached with clips and is quite easy to remove, starting from the corner and gradually moving over the entire area of the overlay.
We unscrew the fastening of the lining itself, which is fastened with turnkey nuts to “10”.
We remove the cover. With this repair method, you can not disconnect the wiring from the door.
We buy furniture bolts on "6" with a countersunk ball head.
We take the drill at “6” and drill the lining from the inside, having previously pulled out the “native” bolts from the brackets.
Some furniture bolts have a square that prevents them from turning, so we make square holes from a round hole with a file.
Install the screws and screw the cover back on.
In the photo there is an option with bolts closed with clips, but I think the essence is clear.
This option is the easiest, but not the most beautiful.
The second option
I used this option. For this we need:
- Building hair dryer
- dichloroethane or acetone
- ABS part
- Sandpaper
- Bulgarian
- Grinding wheel from a grinder or coarse sandpaper
We remove the overlay as described in the previous method, while disconnecting the wiring, pulling out the button and turning on the curtains.
Take a piece of plastic (make sure it dissolves with dichloroethane or acetone)
We heat the plastic a little with a hairdryer so that it becomes plastic, take a suitable pipe (I used a candle key), put the plastic on the key and use a countersunk screw taken from the lining to form a new mount. It is necessary to cut the washer from the bolt, as it will interfere. Unfortunately, there is no photo of this process, I didn’t know if it would work or not, it’s a pity). After the plastic has cooled, we cut it to size, about 2 * 3 cm, only then we drill a hole. We make such “stumps” 5 pieces.
Since the "stumps" are not even, you need to process them, giving them a plane. This can be done on a grinding wheel from a grinder or on sandpaper placed on something flat (a piece of glass, for example)
Then we marked the centers of the bolts on the liner, cut out any broken fasteners and sanded the liner.
We generously lubricate the overlaps and “stumps” with glue (dichloroethane, acetone) and glue them

At this point, I made a mistake. I smeared pieces of plastic in dichloroethane and poured them into “stumps”, apparently the glue did not have time to harden and slightly dissolved the coating on the outside.

The fixation turned out to be quite reliable, almost a year has passed, nothing has fallen out, nothing is moving.
Putting everything together in reverse order.
If you are too lazy to make hemp yourself, it turns out that you can buy them ready-made.
Option Three
The third option is very simple, but more expensive. Now the pads are sold on Ali.
