The American agency IIHS at the end of last year conducted a series of tests and determined which cars can be called the safest. The rating consists of two sections:

• Top Safety Pick + - the most reliable cars, this category includes only 15 models;
• Top Safety Pick - 47 models that received very high marks.

Also, the Nissan Leaf hybrid earned 5 stars, which lost just a couple of percent to the Focus, and even surpassed it in terms of driver safety - 93% versus 85 percent.
