Test: Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone Night Pack 750 (2020) // Retro icon reminiscent of the present

The classic look that is simply beautiful and timeless goes well with the new lower headlight. The LED lighting forms a distinctive ring, and the ribbed aluminum body clearly lends a modern look. At night, the brightness is much better, which is just one of the positive effects of the novelty. But I must point out that white light illuminates the road with white light much better. The high beam can give a more beautiful beam of light a few feet in front of the front wheel. To balance the design, the taillight and direction indicators have also been fitted with LEDs and integrated into the narrower and smaller fender.

The heart of the bike remains the proven, transverse V-twin, which quietly drives the rear wheel through the PTO. The engine, which is capable of developing 6200 "horsepower" at 52 rpm, shakes slightly at startup and then drum silently. A soft click from the gearbox is heard every time you shift into first gear, and acceleration occurs in a slow but calm rhythm as the clutch is released slowly.

A sporty chase doesn't suit him, he does a much better job when you're relaxing, almost lazily upshifts and letting the torque do its thing. I drove with it most efficiently when I throttle in too high a gear due to a corner. Just like not so long ago we drove diesel cars.

The brakes work reliably but not aggressively. If a one-finger grip is believed to be sufficient to effectively stop on a sport bike, the two-finger lever must be firmly pressed to stop quickly. Brembo has signed a limited contract, but it is not a finished product with the Racing logo. The brake disc is large, with a diameter of 320 mm, and the calipers, which grip it with four pistons, do the job satisfactorily.

When you need to stop quickly and there is even asphalt under the wheels, the soft-engaging ABS also helps, which I think is a plus.. All this also clearly defines the character of this Moto Guzzi. The essence of this bike is not in a hurry, relaxed pleasure on two wheels to the calm rhythm of a two-cylinder engine is what makes it good. If I were in a hurry, I would also not be able to look at all the beautiful things around. Whether it's nature or a cute little lady passing by.

Also Moto Guzzi V 7III Stone did not go unnoticed... While driving around town or at traffic lights, I took a look at this because the bike is designed in a classic style and with the right handcrafted parts, and besides, there aren't as many of them on the road as someone with two. the technique is wheeled, I'm tired of it.
