Grille Test: Renault Clio 1.2 TCE I Feel Slovenia

As production of the Clio returned to Novo mesto, Renault decided to take this opportunity and prepare a regional equipment package for Slovenes, packaged in a limited edition, named after the slogan that Slovenia is officially using to promote the country.

It is difficult to talk about the new Clio products, which in their current form are present on the market for the sixth year in a row, but we can say what the specified packaging gives. You won't find the advanced assistance systems that are gradually becoming an integral part of the Clio class, but the vehicle is well-equipped to make it easier to cover the miles every day.

I feel like Slovenia's equipment is based on the Intens package, which means it brings sweets like front and rear LED lights, automatic air conditioning, handsfree map, parking sensors, rearview camera, infotainment system with navigation device and a row other metal colors available in this package at no additional cost. Perhaps we missed a more visible perception of the said packaging, as it is framed only by a small emblem on the back of the car.

This Clio is available with five different engines, and the test one was powered by a 1,2 "horsepower" 120-liter four-cylinder engine. In the trend of three-cylinder engines, it is pleasant to drive such a motorized Clio, which proves its smooth running, quietness and exemplary performance. With a consumption of 6,9 liters per 100 kilometers on our usual circle, it is difficult to call it economical, but even if you diligently chase these 120 "horses", it will not pull more than an extra liter.

evaluation

  • Maybe Renault wants to get a patriotic buyer under the slogan “I feel Slovenia”, but with a set of equipment in the same package they will definitely get a rationally oriented product.
