ест: Yamaha X-Max 300 (2017)
We've been convinced and written that Yamaha knows how to make a good quality scooter countless times. With the new mid-size Maxi, Yamaha has also proven itself in this most attractive as well as most popular class.
The new X-max 300 with its 250 2005 cc predecessor (after a thorough revamp in 2013) has little to do with it. On a completely empty workbench Yamaha installed a completely new modern single-cylinder engine, a completely new frame (3 kilograms lighter than its predecessor), as well as practically new suspension and brakes. Market researchers and salespeople have their say – we are looking for a scooter that is ergonomic and shaped. written on the skin of more mature clients... Therefore, the feeling in the saddle is pleasant and comfortable. The driver's cabin is serious, nothing unusual, pleasantly lit and extremely transparent.
Yamaha has heeded the criticism of the stiff rear suspension and fitted the new model with a five-speed adjustable rear shock, making the X-max 300 much more comfortable in all settings than its predecessor. They also played with the position and angle of the suspension and front fork, thus taking a step forward in the area of the center of gravity and, of course, the ride and handling. To be completely honest, Yamaha has grasped the standards dictated by the popular Italian highway a long time ago, I dare say. that with this model the Japanese set them up anew.
All thanks will go not only to the engine and the rest of the design of this scooter, it must be said that the X-max is now also the richest scooter in its class in terms of equipment. Two outlets for charging phones and other devices, illuminated underseat space, keyless system, LED lighting and more can be found in the list of standard equipment. It is equipped with ABS as standard, and there is also an anti-skid system. Without the latter, those with a little more experience could easily become great, but Yamaha thinks of others as well. Not that this scooter wasn't alive, quite the opposite. I'm not saying it accelerates the best, but it definitely reaches the top end speed in its class. He goes to the end of the meter.
Also, Yamaha has not forgotten that this scooter will be chosen by buyers of all varieties, so they equipped it with adjustable brake levers and an adjustable windshield, which, unfortunately, does not have a toolless adjustment mechanism. If your height is outside the norm, then it is better to ride high for riding this scooter. A high center ridge will definitely discourage those with a shorter stature.
Despite all the modernity this scooter offers, the only serious criticism comes from the central electronic locking and opening system, which is not the most user-friendly. Most worryingly, the seat cannot be opened unless the engine is turned off.
Fuel consumption in the test stuck at just under four liters, which is encouraging given the bustling city pace. The fact that the X-max 300 is one of the best in its class for roominess, performance and practicality may also convince those who otherwise believe in Italian charm and design.
