Replacing the rear springs on the Largus

Of course, the wear of the rear springs does not occur as quickly as the shock absorbers, but nevertheless, with a certain mileage, they will need to be changed. Doing this on cars like the Lada Largus is quite simple. The main thing is to have all the necessary tools with you, namely:

1. Flat screwdriver
2. Key for 15 (or necessary in your case for screeds)
3. Spring ties

[colorbl style=”green-bl”]It is worth noting that in this case, small ties will be needed, since there is already little room for maneuver. Therefore, it is extremely inconvenient to work with powerful and large ones, I would even say almost impossible.[/colorbl]

Removing and installing rear suspension springs on Largus

So, in order to get to the rear springs of Largus, you need to drive the car into a viewing hole, or a lift. If this is not possible, then, in principle, you can get by with a jack. To do this, we lift the car, or rather its rear part, and remove the wheel, having previously unscrewed all the mounting bolts.

Then you can put on the ties and use them to start pulling the springs. This is clearly shown in the photo below.

When the spring is tight enough to be released, we try to remove it by prying it with a screwdriver if problems arise during dismantling.

After that, you can finally remove the spring, since nothing else holds it.

Of course, when installing a new spring in its place, it is also worth pulling it off beforehand to the desired moment, otherwise it simply will not work to insert it into the seat.

The price of a new original spring for the Lada Largus rear suspension is about 4300 rubles, although taking it from another manufacturer - the same Taiwan, will cost from 1000 rubles apiece. But you can also search for disassembly, it is possible that a practically new version, in the original version, can be found for 2000 rubles, for a set, of course.

If necessary, it is worth checking also all rubber parts, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
